Mission Statement
Spirit of 76 Living History Association is a living history group dedicated to presenting and educating about 18th century soldier, sailor, and civilian lives and experiences during the era with interactive events, camps, parades, outreach, and demonstrations. Reach out and partner with us to keep early American history alive!
Description
Our reenactors portray soldiers, sailors, musicians, and civilians who lived during the 18th century and American Revolutionary era. The Columbia Fife & Drum, 43rd Regiment of Foot, 3rd New Hampshire, Artillery, HMS Chatham, and Civilians are our six main units. New impressions or units appropriate to the time period are welcome. All events are family-friendly and promote hands-on history education.
There is much to do as an event volunteer! Greeting the public, taking onsite donations, lead media efforts including photography and videography, helping set up and take down camp, putting up flyers, and preparing event sites are some examples. You do not need to have experience in living history to volunteer. A desire to learn, teach, or pitch in where needed is all that is required.
