Mission Statement

Hippo Roller has changed millions of lives with appropriate technology in water-stressed communities by improving access to water with a device used to carry 90L of water more easily and efficiently than traditional methods. The Hippo Roller is a necessary tool for communities without water infrastructure to help protect their health and improve their hygiene through improved access to water, 90-litres at a time providing a flexible, mobile infrastructure to access multiple water points depending on availability. Lack of access to clean drinking water is one of the greatest causes of poverty in Africa. Without clean water, lives are poorly impacted, depriving women and children of their valuable time and energy that could be spent on better education and economic prosperity. More water means a better quality of life, children are enabled to get to school and gain better employment opportunities.
