2 End The Stigma alleviates barriers to getting help for addiction. At 2 End The Stigma, we believe: Addiction is a disease. Addiction impacts the entire family. The stigma of addiction is a barrier to getting help. It takes bravery and vulnerability to seek help. Help is available for individuals and families.
Description
In February 2017, Jill Zebrowski Cichowicz’s twin brother died from fentanyl poisoning. To help manage her grief, and as a way to bring something positive out of her family’s devastation, Jill created the Scott Zebrowski Scholarship Fund in partnership with the The McShin Foundation, a Richmond based addiction treatment center. Her first fundraiser, "A Night For Scott," raised more than $28K for the fund and significantly contributed to raising awareness about the effects of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) on individuals and families and helped program participants with their recovery journey. 2 End The Stigma started focusing on youth education/prevention in schools partnering with the Silent No More Campaign through the US Attorney's Office and DEA.
