Our priority is providing gracious hospitality and warmly welcoming all people. If you enjoy meeting new people and making everyone feel at home, we would love to have you volunteer with us at the front desk. It’s a key role at our center and volunteers are needed to greet guests, answer phones, and help with gift shop payments. Volunteer shifts can be flexible and are highly needed Friday-Sunday. Mount Olivet Conference & Retreat Center (MOCRC) is committed to caring for the environment and stewarding our natural resources on 151 acres of land. Volunteer and enjoy our beautiful site while helping to maintain our outdoor amenities, including a prairie restoration project and a certified monarch waystation. Other outdoor areas in need of care include: 5+ miles of walking trails, Marsh Walk, meditation labyrinth, natural playscape, outdoor chapel; gazebo, wood duck and blue bird houses, and so much more! Volunteer as an individual or as a team building activity! Bring your church, book club, girl/boy scouts, or corporate group! We have year-round opportunities, can be flexible with scheduling, and can schedule 1X or as needed with on-going projects.

We host a variety of events open to the public throughout the year, including outdoor summer concerts, stargazing, extended retreats, banquets, and summer mid-week worship services and nature talks. If you enjoy meeting new people, trying new things, and experiencing nature, this is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you! Volunteer as an individual or small group of 2-3 people! We know that food plays a large role in nurturing and sustaining us in mind, body, and spirit, and our kitchen uses ingredients from our gardens whenever possible. Volunteer with us and be a part of our environmental sustainability efforts by helping to plant, prune, and clear our 20+ wildflower beds and 12 raised vegetable beds. Volunteer as an individual or with a group! Bring your church, book club, girl/boy scouts, or corporate group! We have opportunities in the fall, spring, and summer. We can be flexible with scheduling and time and can schedule 1X or as on-going projects *Must have valid license for a background check
