SFBA is a non-profit, non-subsidized association. Managed and operated by volunteers, SFBA's mission is to welcome French and Francophone individuals to the San Francisco Bay Area, assisting them in:
- Adapting to a different way of life and a foreign language,
- Resolving practical everyday issues,
- Meeting fellow countrymen as well as locals,
- Enjoying the richness of another culture while maintaining their identity, offering them upon arrival: welcome, contacts, and activities.
SFBA is a member of the International Federation of French and Francophone Welcomes Abroad network.
