The mission of FA-MLI is to provide dynamic, culturally relevant programs, services, events and activities to underserved families and youth to enrich their lives.

Description

Since 1992, FA-MLI, the Foundation for Arts, Mentoring, Leadership & Innovation has been a part of a bold movement, to transform the lives and life chances of vulnerable, underserved youth and adults living in Urban communities in Los Angeles, County. Through its intersecting life mastery/mentoring programs, community arts/culture and education Festivals, street name change campaigns, educational conferences and symposiums, classic (large scale) photo gatherings, dynamic musical concerts, on-line (Zoom-Based) Film & Discussion efforts, social justice activities, out-of-state (New Orleans) cultural/educational/arts focused tours and emergency assistance services (Veterans assistance, Housing for Homeless and Placement) and its plethora of community partnerships, IE; Charles Drew University of Medicine & Science, Green Dot Schools, the World Stage Performance Gallery, the Barbara Morrison Performing Arts Center, LAUSD (Los Angele Unified School District) the Snap Foundation, the California Community Foundation, the Squid & Squash Foundation, and several other mutually beneficial professional associations, FA-MLI has been able to positively impact the lives of thousands of human beings. Our amazing, 100% graduation rates for seven years over at Locke High School (under the Green Dot banner) is an indication of our ability to communicate, inspire and educate youth in need of direction, purpose and the development of objectives and goals in life.
