Mission Statement
Full-Circle Learning helps young people embrace their role as society's humanitarians and change agents. Services rendered include free capacity building for teachers in the developing world, community impact grants, scholarships, and humanitarian aid for school-led projects in communities in crisis.
Description
Full-Circle Learning's (FCL's) pilot program began in 1992 in an area of civil unrest. It has since served learning communities in 40 nations. In a given year, 12 of those - mostly in Sub-Saharan Africa - receive financial assistance to conduct programs that transform communities. Schools respond to community needs by helping students address food security, health disparities, peace, equity, climate change impacts, and much more. Based on inspiring students as compassionate members of one human family, the FCL model infuses a habit-of-heart into each learning unit, integrating character, academics, arts, conflict resolution, and both local and global service into the fabric of schools and communities. Its volunteer board requests the help of pro bono professionals to take on online fundraising/development lines of activity.
