Mission Statement

We are Prosper. A charity that empowers women in Sierra Leone to create a pathway from poverty to prosperity. We give women in Sierra Leone the skills and confidence to create a business and develop an income, so that they can support themselves, their families and their communities.

Description

Prosper is a small UK registered charity operating in Sierra Leone. In 2023, Prosper empowered 1,200 women in remote areas of Sierra Leone to build a business of their own and support their families and communities. We run bespoke, tried-and-tested entrepreneurship training, enabling women with no formal education to build a sustainable income.

We have a ten-year track record running our innovative programme in Kenema, Sierra Leone. Since the programme was launched launch, we have worked with over 15,000 participants.
