Home Grown Homeschoolers Inc. (HGH) exists with a purpose deeply rooted in the belief that education is a transformative journey encompassing more than academic knowledge. Our purpose is multi-faceted, reflecting a commitment to nurturing holistic development, fostering meaningful connections, and creating an inclusive educational environment. A profound realization unfolded seven years ago that transcended textbooks and lesson plans. It was the recognition that education isn't just about academic enrichment; its about the tapestry of relationships that shape a child's growth. Some of our goals for 2024 are to travel with our teens to Costa Rica in May, create an open learning experience about farming and gardening on our property for the homeschool community and continue to provide our weekly co-ops and field trips. We recently joined Prairie View A & M University in a collaboration to teach our youth to be Earth-kind through their NextGen mentoring program were they will learn about beekeeping, hoop gardens and raising farm animals. HGH is honored to to have received recognition from various media outlets such as ABC, NBCBlk, NHK Japan, Tavis Smiley and The Grio, highlighting our dedication to redefining the homeschooling experience. These acknowledgements serve as a testament to the innovation, community engagement and meaningful contributions of our organization.
