Free Bikes 4 Kidz Phoenix

Free Bikes 4 Kidz Phoenix is a national organization founded in 2008. Our founder Terry Esau, started it in his garage and donated 300 bikes in the first year and 5,000 the following year! In the last 15 years the organization consisting of 18 affiliates, has donated over 110,000 bikes to children in need. Our affiliate in Phoenix was founded in 2022 and we donated 350 bikes to bike clubs in the Navajo Nation and the Desert Mission Food Bank. In 2023, we expanded our reach to the Hopi, Pascua-Yaqui and Title 1 schools in metro Phoenix. and have donated over 700 bikes so far. We donate to organizations who in turn give to children they support. Our goal is to help in children's help and wellbeing and give them a way of transportation too! We hope to grow to a give away of 1,000 bikes in 2024 to continue to support our children in need. Our program is efficient, we collect bikes, organize volunteers to refurbish them, and have a give away day where children pick up their bikes. It is so beautiful to see their happy faces when they receive a bike that has been refurbished to look like new.
