Great people wanted! As a guest services volunteer at the Allina Health Coon Rapids Clinic, you will work alongside other volunteers and health care professionals and play an important role in creating a welcoming patient and guest experience. Choose from two volunteer positions: Welcome Desk volunteer: greet patients and guests with a smile and answer questions, use a computer to look up appointment information and direct them to their appointment. Ages 18+ Wayfinder volunteer: an on-the-go role that includes escorting patients to appointments, running errands and more. Get your steps in while helping others! Ages 15+ Benefits: It's social! Make new friends and connections. Be part of an engaged and fun team. Use and develop your people skills. Feel good knowing you are helping people. Gain experience and learn more about the healthcare field. No previous experience is needed. We provide training and will support you every step of the way as you settle into your volunteer role.

Why walk in circles trying to get your steps in, when you can walk with others and make people's day?!?! Folks who like to walk make great Wayfinder volunteers. Our patients tell us they want to feel at ease, valued, understood, and known. Wayfinder volunteers make that happen as they assist patients to their clinic appointments and help them find their way. To be a great Wayfinder Volunteer you must: love to move- this is not a desk job enjoy talking about the weather and local sports teams (yes, even when they lose!) enjoy giving encouragement to folks who might be having a hard day love seeing genuine smiles from people. If you can commit to one morning OR afternoon a week and would like to get some steps in while making a difference in our patients' clinic experience, we'd LOVE to talk with you!!!
