Easy Water for Everyone is a non-profit organization founded by Dr. Nathan Levin and Linda Donald. Their mission is to provide pure and safe drinking water to people who live in rural communities without access to electricity.
The idea for the organization came about when Dr. Levin and Linda were working on a dialysis project in Israel. They discovered a process by NUFiltration Ltd. that used sterilized used kidney dialysis filters to purify sewage water. After several trips to rural villages, Dr. Levin understood the dire impact of water poverty on people's lives, from health to income. Dr. Levin and Linda approached NUFiltration with the idea of creating a smaller version of the system that could generate clean and safe drinking water for rural communities without electricity.
NUFiltration accepted the proposal, and the organization was born. The system uses around 300 to 400 kidney dialysis filters, and laboratory tests have shown that it can produce completely bacteria and virus-free drinking water.
