Mission Statement

By providing an entirely free and regularly-recurring meeting for entrepreneurs to connect with the communities they serve, 1 Million Cups is eliminating barriers and supporting the creation of new businesses. 1 Million Cups, Santa Barbara is able to provide this cost-free gathering through sponsorship by the Kauffman Foundation as well as several local donors who provide resources such as a physical meeting venue and coffee service. 1 Million Cups Santa Barbara provides encouragement and uses shared knowledge to overcome obstacles impeding the success of businesses in their most vulnerable stages.

Description

1 Million Cups launched as a program of the Kauffman Foundation in 2012 in Kansas City, MO and chapters quickly spread throughout the nation. Today, there are over 115 chapters in various cities blanketing the United States. When participants join one chapter, they are eligible to interact with all of them. This opens up the opportunity for new businesses to gather market feedback outside of their own city and state, empowering them to gather suggestions and resources that might not be considered from a local perspective. 1 Million Cups is pollinating entrepreneurship nationwide! How can we help your business?
