Mission Statement
It is our mission provide aid to neglected, abused & homeless stray animals at risk of ultimate death left to their own devices. .We work with friends near the Yakima reservation to rescue the overwhelming number of stray dogs, which lessens pressure on local shelters. We also participate in the last litter program, which takes in pregnant strays and ensures the mother and all of her children are spayed or neutered in an effort to break the cycle of stray animals. We recognize that stray dog overpopulation has detrimental effects on the community, environment, and public health. The uncontrolled reproduction of stray dogs increases their population, which leads to a higher chance of predation, disruption of ecosystems, road traffic accidents, and the spread of internal parasites and zoonotic diseases, including rabies, to humans and other animals.
Description
Our goal is to help as many dogs as we can by finding forever homes, reliable foster care, and providing medical care. All of the work done by us is volunteer based and funded by grants and donations. No officer or board members get paid for their time.
