Mission Statement

J.O.B.S. provides job-readiness seminars, advanced career training courses, national career certification study resources (toolkit), and national career certification exams to prepare the women in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area, women who reside in underserved communities, women who are unemployed, and women who are underemployed. Upon successfully completing the course, J.O.B.S. provides our graduates with immersive, interactive study material and strategies to ensure successful passing rates on the national certification exams. Once our graduates have passed the national/state-board certification exams, J.O.B.S. board of directors have several working relationships with hiring leaders throughout the Dallas / Fort Worth metropolitan area that will yield positive results for job placement.

Description

We are seeking volunteers to be J.O.B.S. primary contact to the student, as a Career Mentors, after the student complete their student orientation and begins their career course.

What does to be a "Career Mentor at J.O.B.S." mean?


We are seeking certified Medical Assistants, licensed Pharmacy Technicians, certified Phlebotomy Technicians, and certified Physical Therapy Aide/Technician (minimum of 3 years of working experience in combination with certification/registration).

The Career Mentors will serve as preceptors for our students while they learn online and prepare for the national certification exam (work with our students either virtually or onsite).
- Follow up with students on the students’ assigned study timeline
- Follow Instructor guidelines to ensure students are compliant clinical skills (either onsite or video submission)
- Provided immersive tools to follow students progress within coursework / certification study tool

We also need volunteers administratively to assist with student enrollment, marketing/social media, and any request from the operations leadership team.
