Our volunteers play an important role. They help educate, engage, and take part in variety of hands-on activities. Through this position, you have the opportunity to engage our community through STEAM education. This position assists with programming where guests can take part in STEAM activities. The Explorer Guides will work with Community Programs to ensure guest are engaging with the environment and programs. If interested, volunteers can assist in activity development and evaluation.

Our volunteers play an important role. They help educate, engage, and take part in variety of hands-on activities. As an Exhibit Guide, you have a unique opportunity to interact with our community through direct, one-on-one education. Exhibit Guides answer questions and highlight our exhibits. They will educate guests about current scientific and space happenings related to our exhibits. And the Exhibit Guides work with our Community Programs and Exhibits team. This ensures guest engage with the exhibits and corresponding STEAM programs. Other Benefits: Volunteers have the chance to stay up-to-date on space and science through specialized trainings. They will also have behind-the-scenes access to our exhibits and our knowledgeable staff. This is a great opportunity to broaden your social circle by making connections with fellow volunteers, staff, and guests. Volunteers also contribute to our community and the scientific community through our research. Our volunteers have a direct impact on the basic understanding of scientific concepts. This is a great role for anyone with the goal of a career in science, informal education, or nonprofit work. This role will allow for great career connections and mentoring!
