Description
Social Venture Partners Boston is a partner-led, venture philanthropy 501(c)(3) non-profit. SVP’s vision is to build powerful relationships between professionals and local non-profits to tackle the Boston community’s social challenges, specifically, food security, housing access and education and workforce preparedness, with a focus on racial equity. SVP supports a portfolio of early-stage Boston non-profits that are looking to address these challenges through a combination of unrestricted grants to fund operations and partner donated time and capital to accelerate scaling their businesses.
Partners (volunteers) join project teams assigned to local non-profits to provide pro-bono consulting services to address the critical needs of their businesses. Some project examples include strategic planning, development of financial models, standard operating procedures documentation, competitor landscape analysis, and expansion planning. These projects provide great networking and upskilling opportunities to individuals, all while giving back in an impactful way.
