Mission Statement

Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific is an all volunteer, nonprofit organization that is focused on transforming lives of children, strengthening our community and giving those in need hope and inspiration for a brighter tomorrow.

Description

Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific is a chapter of Assistance League, a national organization of over 22,000 members in 120 chapters throughout the United States. We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming lives and strengthening our local Clatsop and Pacific County communities. We were chartered in August of 2007 and became the 118th Assistance League Chapter in May of 2011. From the beginning our member volunteers have been committed to making a lasting difference in the lives of children in our community through their hands-on involvement in our innovative philanthropic programs.

Assistance League of the Columbia Pacific supports six community based philanthropic programs benefiting children of all ages, from newborns thru 12th grade students. Our programs are Operation School Bell(r) (new school clothes), Duffel Bag Program (items of care to children entering foster care), School Activities Support (funds to support athletic and cultural school activities), Cinderella's Closet (dresses for school formal dances), Operation Scholarship (continuing educational scholarships to graduating seniors and Outreach Program (funds for community emergencies).
