Are you looking for a way to help young adults in our community at risk of homelessness? Maybe you would like to share your wisdom with younger generations. Then we invite you to partner with Finally Family Homes as a Life Skills Coach for our young adults! At Finally Family Homes, we believe that everyone needs a place to call home and people to call family. Life Skills Coaches support our efforts through our Life Launch program which uses a trauma-informed approach to equip young adults with tools for independent living and lasting success. Coaches are paired one-on-one with a participant in order to review the curriculum and more deeply engage them in covered topics, such as resilience, job readiness, and personal finance. While this opportunity does require a longer commitment, it also offers a very flexible schedule. We need volunteers who can meet with a young adult at least once a month for six months. However, when and where you meet is up to you and the young adult you are matched with. Make a difference by joining our team of Life Skills Coaches today! Make a difference in the life of a young adult facing challenges and seeking community, resources, and a path to stability! This Southern Gospel Brunch will support the work of Finally Family Homes where we seek to build a place where every young adult feels seen, supported, and empowered. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help set-up tables (heavy lifting may be required), check in our guests, assist with serving during the event, and clean up after this event. We will also need volunteers to help with setup the night before our event. Whatever task you help with, your support will play a key role in ensuring our event runs smoothly. Are you passionate about supporting young adults in our community, especially those navigating life on their own? Whether they're facing housing instability, aging out of foster care, or simply seeking a safe and welcoming place to belong, the Oasis Resource Center is here for them-and you can be too. You can make a difference by becoming an Oasis Center Support & Engagement Volunteer! At our Oasis Resource Center, we serve young adults ages 18 to 26 as they navigate the challenges of transitioning to adulthood. Our center is a safe and welcoming space designed to support young adults aging out of foster care, those at risk of or experiencing homelessness, and others seeking community, resources, and a path to stability. We are open Tuesday through Friday from 11 AM to 5:30 PM and on some Saturdays from 11 AM to 2 PM. During the week, we have morning and afternoon volunteer shifts available, but these are flexible and can be based on your availability. As a Center Support & Engagement Volunteer, you can expect to help welcome visitors and give tours, answer the phone, help take inventory of our free store, clean, water plants, and write thank you notes or encouraging postcards. Occasionally, you will be helping set-up and clean-up for our special events and assisting with special projects. Most importantly, you will be able to engage with the young adults while they are visiting! You can be the reason young adults feel welcomed and have access to the resources they need! So come join our talented, diverse, and caring family and experience the satisfaction of helping our resource center become a successful and thriving space! Though there is no expected commitment, we are hoping to find volunteers who can commit to one shift (at least 2 hours) a week or every other week.
