The Green-Meldrim House is an 1853 Gothic-Revival style gem, which housed the military headquarters of General William T. Sherman following the American army's successful March-to-the-Sea during the Civil War. The house showcases the stories of those who built, lived, worked in, visited and made history in what became a National Historic Landmark. The historic house welcomes visitors from all over the world for tours and programs. Savannah, Georgia is an international tourist destination.
