Mission Statement

Tri-City Alcoholic Rehabilitation Association, Inc. (TARA) Clubhouse, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. We have been at our location in Hapeville for over 50 years. TARA Clubhouse has been guiding our participants on their recovery journey which includes participation in meetings, workshops, and sober fun activities.

Description

To grow with our community, TARA Club has recently expanded its reach to include Tri-City Recovery. The goal of Tri-City Recovery is to mobilize resources while utilizing space at the clubhouse that is available to expand on services that deal with alcoholism/addiction, mental health issues, and anything that may affect a person’s quality of life. In addition to workshops currently offered, such as financial, health and wellness, employment readiness, resume writing, medical referrals, games and tournaments, and community rooms with TV, dances, and art programs, a new charter is being developed to expanding services that are overall more inclusive to a diversity of needs. Tri-City Recovery is welcoming additional professional and community members that welcome all pathways to recovery. Partnerships are needed for underrepresented social dilemmas. We are adding additional services such as, GED classes, English as a Second Language instruction, mental health classes, domestic violence support, food insecurity, HIV prevention and testing and other important social support, and interpersonal groups are currently in the development stages. These partnerships will expand on the services that help meet the basic needs of our community that are missing and desperately lacking in this area.
