Mission Statement
RSCF develops and implements global breeding and management programs for critically endangered tropical species. We are partnered with Florida International University and offer technical support to partner NGOs, students, and science organizations with the goal to recover and repatriate declining species.
Description
For over three decades rscf has focused its efforts on a handful of critically endangered species that they're United States based facility. Mountain Mongo antelope, Caribbean parrots, and small primates including lion tamarins and marmosets. All of these programs are linked to in-country recovery efforts. Our Flagship programs involve the repatriation of mountain bongo antelope to Kenya, breeding the critically endangered red-browed Amazon parrot, and establishing the longest running colony of pygmy marmosets in North America.
