Akin exists to disrupt systemic and multi-generational cycles of inequity by partnering with children, families, and communities to transform population level health and well-being.
Description
We provide comprehensive and integrated services throughout Washington state and work with children and their families every step of their journey to create lasting, positive change that benefits all of us.
We give parents/caregivers the tools they need to raise healthy, happy children. We help families build on their strengths, find support networks, and promote overall well-being. Family support programs and services include basic needs assistance, Triple Point Program (LGBTQ+ youth), after-school programs, BSK Play & Learn, Truancy Intervention Program, Learning Assistance Program, Incredible Years, Little Toasters, parent education, Parents for Parents mentorship program, Triple P, family navigation, and other support offered through our family resource centers.
