Mission Statement

V-Pal Connects is a youth-led organization that aims to provide teenagers with the opportunity to build strong friendships through E-letters in which they freely express themselves, and share their skills and insight.

Description

Our goal is to help teenagers across North America earn volunteer hours easily and efficiently!

Our program:

  • Provides people the opportunity to have a V-buddy (otherwise known as a pen pal!)

  • Allows high school students to earn volunteer hours

  • Strengthens literacy skills

  • Promotes positive self-esteem

Benefits:

  • The program helps students practice the art of writing, increase literacy skills and build positive relationships
  • The letters help develop a deeper CULTURAL AWARENESS, enhanced COMMUNICATION SKILLS, and gain COLLABORATION OPPORTUNITIES

Earning hours:

  • Volunteers will earn hours according to the word count per e-letter
    • A V-buddy can only sent up to 3 letters per week

Less than 100 words → 0.5 hours

More than 100 words → 1 hour

(NOTE: Minimum of words → 50, this is to ensure we are not falsely giving volunteer hours)

Volunteering with this organization is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours and interact with others. It offers a diverse and enjoyable way of communication. The organization is affordable, stress-free, and doesn't consume much time. In addition, it provides both physical and mental rewards as you are making someone's day better. Furthermore, the site has a variety of activities to do regardless of race, religion, culture and background: it has more than tutoring and learning; you get to communicate with your peers. The organization is user-friendly and has helped countless people achieve success. Overall, I strongly recommend volunteering with this organization.
