To create quality recreation and leisure opportunities strengthening the community through people, parks and programs.

Description

Newtown Parks and Recreation offers leisure opportunities including a diversity of classes, summer camps and community events. Our program offerings range from sports, the arts and STEM to horticulture and gardening. Seasonal special events include Halloween Happenings, Scarecrow Contest, Turkey Toss Basketball, Tree Lighting, Spring Egg Hunt and more. We also sponsor an annual Rooster Run and canine-friendly Strutt Your Mutt.
