Mission Statement

We are an addiction and overdose awareness group from New Jersey that travels with hundreds of posters of beautiful souls who lost their lives because of their personal battle with addiction. The presentation is called Silent Memorials. It’s a powerful and moving set up of The Black Poster Project where people can walk through at their own pace reading the stories of each lost soul. Our goal is to change the stigma attached to this disease and bring awareness to communities throughout New Jersey and New York. All posters are made at the request of the grieving family at no cost to them. We accept and appreciate all donations from other sources, so we are able to continue adding posters and spreading awareness.

Description

Over the last few years we have been recognized for our work to reduce stigma and raise awareness through our own losses. We travel throughout communities, but last year began bringing a smaller version of The Black Poster Project to high schools.
