Seniors and youth are faced with multiple challenges every day. The large majority of these challenges involve having access to and knowledge about the resources that will give them the greatest chance to improve their life outcomes. So, URI mission is to increase education, employment, and health and wellness resources available to youth and seniors in underserved communities in San Francisco and the greater Bay area.
In December of 2019, UNITI Resources Incorporated was granted 501(c)3 status. URI's mission is to help youth and seniors find and get connected to resources that they need to improve their lives.
URI believes that the human spirit is the spark that drives community improvement. Toward that end, the first program we choose to support was the Bayview/ Hunters Points Home Delivered Grocery Program a partnership between the Department of Aging and Adult Services, Community Living Campaign, and URI.
Since 2020, we have been delivering weekly grocery bags to seniors and adults with disability. We currently serve over 130 households with a weekly delivery. We are currently working on designing a tutorial program for 4th and 5th grade students to improve their thinking skills.
