Come serve in our 100% volunteer-staffed, grocery store food pantry! Create relationships with volunteers and guests while feeding our community in Northeast Philadelphia. You can view our brief Tiktok orientation to get a feel for our organization HERE , and feel free to check out our VOLUNTEER PAGE for more info! Volunteers arrive an hour before distribution begins, in order to begin team formation, restock shelves, and assign volunteer roles. Serving at Feast of Justice is different every single week, as distribution shifts are fast-paced/customer service oriented and require adaptability. Volunteer roles vary from checking in guests into our computer, greeting guests, restocking fresh produce, packing online orders, bagging groceries, and more. There are also leadership roles available. Deliveries of food come from local grocery stores. We need additional volunteers to help us receive those deliveries, sort the produce, and restock the shelves. Guests from our community shop according to family size, selecting from fresh produce, meat, dairy, grab n' go items, dry goods, and bakery/pastries. We are currently serving around 500 families a week and distributing over 19,000 lbs each week. In order to keep our doors open to the public, we require about 400 hours of volunteer service donated every week. Come make a difference by serving in our choice market.
