Big Dreams & Bigger Hearts Nonprofit Organization, Inc. is a 501c3 tax-exempt nonprofit organization providing beneficial assistance and sustainable solutions that resolves the root causes of their current situation to the homeless community. This nonprofit/organization focuses on offering the homeless a chance at a brighter future through providing them with the necessary tools to change their own lives in a positive way by attacking the issue at its root cause.
Statistics show that homeless people demonstrate worse physical and emotional health status than the general population. Chronic homelessness is characterized by tri-morbidity. Meaning, the homeless community is more likely to suffer from a trifecta of mental health issues, physical illness, and substance abuse all at the same time. This leads to rates of mortality in the homeless population that are higher than those in comparison to the general population.
The numbers do not lie, 1.75 million homeless in the US, with 66 percent of those people suffering from illnesses for which they can't even receive treatment or help. This is the root issue, and creating a solution to this root issue is what our organization was created for.
