Our Place Waldorf's mission is to provide Charles County, Maryland residents in need with a nutritious meal in a welcoming, open and friendly environment.
Description
Our Place Waldorf Soup Kitchen provides a warm meal and To Go Bag with single serving non-perishable for items for our guests each Monday and Thursday evening from 5-6:15 PM at Good Shepherd UMC- 305 Smallwood Drive Waldorf, MD 20602 and every Friday and Saturday from 5-6:15 PM at Calvary UMC-3235 Leonardtown Rd Waldorf, MD 20601. Our Place Waldorf Soup Kitchen began October 4, 2012 with one night a week serving 20 guests. Our Place Waldorf has grown to 4 nights a week serving over 500 guests a week. Our Place Waldorf's goal is to be open 7 days a week because no person should ever have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Our Place Waldorf's motto is THE POWER OF COMMUNITY because we could not feed our neighbors in need without all the support we receive from our community.
