Mission Statement
To foster an environment where single parents and young adults can obtain financial, emotional, social and educational help so they can thrive during times of difficulties, allowing them to achieve their God-given potential.
Description
AFHP received its 501c3 status in February of 2023. The organization was created out of the desire of Charmaine Miller to see single parents at the intersection of poverty and low income overcome immediate and temporary financial difficulties. The goal of the organization is to prevent eviction, utility disconnection, assist with budgeting, educate when needed, provide emotional support and encouragement. We also assist young adults who attend Historical Black Colleges and Unversities as they transition to adulthood or while they are in school with the same needs as single parent.
Our programs is a 6 weeks to 3 months program that encourages, movitate and transform lived through practical experience and life coaching.
