Mission Statement

Our mission is to rehabilitate orphaned, sick and injured wildlife in Colorado and return them to the wild. We also work to educate the public on how to co-exist in harmony with wildlife.

Description

Snoocars Wildlife Center is a Colorado non-profit corporation dedicated to rehabilitating orphaned, injured and sick Colorado wildlife and returning those animals to the wild. We provide valuable services to the animals in our care as well as the general public; people find injured and sick wildlife and need to bring them to someone who has the specialized knowledge to care for them. We recognize the valuable relationship between humans and wildlife and work to honor and improve that relationship through volunteer programs and education. Run by a licensed wildlife rehabiltator (licensed by Colorado Parks and Wildlife,) Snooccars Wildlife Center currently rehabilitates injured and orphaned mammals, including but not limited to raccoons, squirrels, beavers, porcupines, golden mantels, marmots, rabbits, chipmunks and foxes. Most wildlife comes to the organization from the counties of Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Jefferson, Larimer, and Weld. Snooccars Wildlife Center cares for mammals of all ages --from a day or two old to adults. Most of the animals we take in come from the public, and we also receive animals from Colorado Parks and Wildlife, animal control officers, pest control/animal rescue operators, humane societies, and other wildlife rehabilitators. Each animal takes hours of direct care and can cost over $500 to rehabilitate.
