LILYS PAD

Lily's Pad is our family's nonprofit and was inspired by our granddaughter, Lily, who was diagnosed with Leukemia in 2017.Lily is now 9 and cancer free.During her treatment we realized that there was no safe place for her to play.Children with immunocompromised illnesses cannot play on regular playgrounds or go to traditional indoor play spaces due to their fragile state.Our goal was to create a hyper clean play space where kids could be kids again. Lily's Pad also provides support for the families. There is a caregiver lounge and siblings are aalowed to play which brings a holisticv approach to healing.Lily's Pad has been 5 years in the making.This play space was funded by the generous support of the community.We have received many corporate and private donations as well as grants.We were recipients of the Fiesta Bowls highest donation and are very proud of what we have accomplished.We will open our doors to children on August 1.At this time, we plan to have two 90 minute play sessions four days a week. There will be no charge to play at Lily's Pad. Therefore, our fundraising efforts will be continual.We are very excited to bring this play space to the immunocompromised community.
