Mission Statement

Since 2015, Music is Medicine created campus chapters in Oklahoma, to raise money for the organization and to use student leadership and talent to epitomize their mission of using music to make a difference in the lives of patients. In August 2018, Music is Medicine became an official division of Katie's Art Project with ties to musicians and hospitals across the United States. The original chapters will now transition to be called KAP campus chapters and we are embarking on a journey to expand chapters nationally. This change reflects our mindset that art encompasses more than music, but also dance, painting, literature, and any other form of creative expression. KAP campus chapters mobilizes student artists to build a network of student leaders, volunteers, and ambassadors. The campus chapters of KAP use student leadership, volunteerism, creativity, and knowledge to spread our three goals. Visit out website for more info.
