Mission Statement

To establish a supportive network of makers and related organizations to spread the benefits of self-efficacy, autonomy, and sustainability amongst Central Oregon residents. Special attention will be given to facilitate youth, underprivileged, and marginalized populations with community resources and practical education.

Description

Goals:

  • Create a living network of makers to facilitate skill building and collaboration.
  • Provide programming for youth interested in making, and to acquire resources to serve underprivileged and marginalized populations.
  • Create mutually beneficial partnerships with and among HDM members and local businesses to facilitate Makers and the Maker movement.
  • Create a platform for businesses to provide philanthropic outlets to the Central Oregon Community to fund impactful programs and events.
