non-profit organization based in Bergen County, New Jersey which aims to provide special-needs individuals with services and tools that can promote independence while creating stronger ties to our communities. NBSN was established in 2016 by a group of parents of special-needs young adults who identified a need for a longer-term vision for our special-needs children. NBSN is the DDD certified provider agency for the New Day Program. The following is a sampling of services and programs that NBSN has been providing local families.
New Day Program by New Beginning for Special Needs is a day program based in Norwood, New Jersey and provides services to young adults ages 21+ with autism . New Day Program, which opened in August 2021, is run by New Beginning for Special Needs, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2016 by a group of parents with special-needs children.
New Day Program aims to provide a warm, nurturing and engaging environment for our participants which will focus on:
Growth and personal achievement
Individualized Program Plans
Measurable goals for daily living skills
Structured life skill and community-based engagement
Opportunities to strengthen independent abilities
Participants will also participate in:
Community-based activities including work and volunteer programs
Leisure and recreation activities
Strong physical activity component
New Day Program by New Beginning for Special Needs has been certified by the New Jersey Department of Developmental Disabilities to provide day habilitation services to the community.
