Mission Statement

Community 247's mission is to partner with local and national continuum of care organizations to reduce rates of homelessness, housing and/or financial insecurity among women and children in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Community 247 serves as a community-based, integrated resource for women and children that provides housing, access to food distribution and other support services.

CREDibility in the Community
We are a CREDible source of Compassion, Respect, Empathy and Dignity (CRED) for women and children recovering from all forms of abuse or hardship - realizing that everyone has a story or experience that has the ability to shape their lives and the lives of others.

On any given night approximately 2,000 individuals experience homelessness in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area.

By partnering with continuum of care organizations (i.e. local shelters and agencies), we will be able to increase the turnover rate of individuals transitioning out of shelters/temporary housing and increase capacity to receive additional clients, thus decreasing the number of unsheltered homeless individuals. Individuals experiencing homelessness will benefit from safe, affordable housing, improved quality of life and stability in the community.

Our programs include donation drives to assist clients as they transition our of area shelters, fundraising and awareness events.
