Mission Statement
To plant, protect and promote the growth of Fruity Trees in partnership with local communities to transform landscapes and lives, provide a habitat for wildlife, and support carbon sequestration from our atmosphere.
Description
Who we are
Fruity Schools Africa is registered with the NGO’s Board as a Non-Governmental Organization in Kenya under registration number OP.218/051/20-345/11949.
What we do
We grow certified fruit trees in schools, health centres, and smallholder farms as a climate change mitigation measure, a food and nutrition security strategy and a carbon offsetting project.
Our Mission
Our mission is to plant, protect and promote the growth of Fruity Trees in partnership with local communities to transform landscapes and lives, provide a habitat for wildlife, and support carbon sequestration from our atmosphere.
Our goal
We specialize in getting fruity trees in the ground. Our goal is to create sustainable Gardens of Eden here on Earth where there is an abundance of Fruits for humans and wildlife, where the air is clean and fresh and where biodiversity thrives. We aim to grow a minimum of 100 fruity trees in each of the 35,000 public schools and the over 5,000 hospitals in Kenya by 2027
Achievement
Since inception, we have planted over 64,000 fruity trees in over 500 schools, 83 hospitals and three parks. This is a tiny dot in the equation of growing 10 million fruity trees that will greatly contribute to the ongoing efforts by the Government to grow 15 billion trees in Kenya.
