Mission Statement

Chi-Care mission is to serve the unhoused and those in most need across Chicagoland. We provide hot meals directly from restaurants and hand deliver them to our brothers and sisters experiencing homelessness. We also serve our new migrant neighbors throughout the city.

Description

Chi-Care was founded in March 2020. Our mission was to serve those in need directly were the reside. Access to transportation is limited for the unhoused, so serving them at their encampments and shelters made it most convenient for them. Our city has also seen an increase in migrant neighbors and we also support them consistently. As of July 2023, we have served over 130,000 meals and this could not have been achieved without the help of amazing volunteers and restaurant partners.

I am excited about the opportunity to volunteer as a Data Analyst with Chi-Care. With a strong drive for community-focused missions, my vision aligns closely with Chi-Care's dedication to impactful work. I bring extensive experience in database management, including proficiency with SharePoint and other Microsoft systems. My technical skills are robust, encompassing general proficiency with information systems and a solid understanding of database security. Attention to detail is one of my core strengths, and I am adept at learning new platforms quickly. My background in data science and my passion for using technology to drive social good make me a strong fit for this role. I look forward to contributing to Chi-Care’s mission and supporting your team in managing and analyzing your databases effectively.
