Mission Statement

Our mission is to use our collective voices (because collaboration is key) to help restore hope, provide refuge, and create a legacy of global social change for all who are journeying through the grief of homelessness. Our primary goal & vision is to assist the homeless and formerly homeless by providing direct services to fill in the gaps of opportunities, i.e., literacy skills, mentoring, job training skills, in an effort to remain housed.

Description

The WayWesX17 Homeless Project has been supporting and serving the homeless community, senior citizens, college students, pregnant moms, and members of the LGTBQIA communities in the Fort Worth-Dallas, Texas area since 2015. WWX17 has a passion for the work that we do. Moreover, we believe that homelessness is not prejudiced, that it crosses socio-economic, religious, economical, mental capacity, gender, age, veteran status, sexual preference and racial barriers. In fact, this destitution affects men, women, and children in urban, rural, and suburban communities. WWX17 aspires to be part of the solution. Since 2015, WWX17 has 6 events: BabyLove; Hot Time in the City; Honoring the Legacy of Diva W; Community College Student Project; Soul-2-Soul; and our main give-away is held in December serving our target population
