Whether you're skilled with the keyboard, guitar, flute, harp, your own voice or any other instrument, your contribution can create a one-on-one experience for patients in the comfort of their personal residence or healthcare facility. We work with your schedule and provide training to equip you with the necessary skills and insights. By dedicating 1-2 hours per week to volunteering, you have the power to make an immense difference in the life of another individual, while also enriching your own life in the process.

Spread joy to our hospice patients and families. We are looking for dedicated individuals with certified therapy dogs to visit hospice patients in the Sumter / Lake County area either in their home or a healthcare facility close to you. Your therapy dog will need to be certified from a recognized humane-animal organization therapy program. Remote online hospice orientation and training will be provided. If you’d like to share the love of your therapy dog to those on hospice care, we’d love to hear from you!

Make a lasting difference in someone’s life as well as your own. Compassionate Care Hospice is looking for dedicated volunteers to visit patients on hospice care for companionship and socialization. Your visit may include activities such as conversation, watching TV, reading, listening to music together, making a craft, playing a game or simply being present and sitting with your person. Our patients are located throughout Marion, Sumter and Lake counties. We will match an introduce you to a patient in your area. Our onboarding process includes comprehensive hospice education and training. We also require a background check, fingerprinting and TB testing. Consider joining our team of compassionate volunteers making a difference in brightening the lives of our patients!
