In 2022 I was looking for volunteer opportunities and I came across the Georgia Festival of Trees on facebook. It was my initial plan only to volunteer for two days for one shift each day during the festival and one shift in the warehouse prior to the festival. My first shift in the warehouse was so enjoyable that I found myself dedicating one day a week in the warehouse leading up to the opening of the festival and all seven days during festival. This was because of a number of reasons: the atmosphere in the warehouse was fun and welcoming, the festival was amazing and the cause in which benefited from the festival was thought provoking and heartfelt. So when the opportunity to volunteer presented itself again in 2023..... I did not hesitate to share my time and talents to this great organization.
