At the Red Cross, volunteers play a crucial role in delivering blood products to hospitals, serving as a vital connection between blood donors and patients in need. Utilizing Red Cross-owned vehicles, our volunteers ensure that life-saving blood products reach those who require them. It’s important to note that our community requires blood for various medical reasons, ranging from an accident or burn victim, a heart surgery or organ transplant patient, or a person receiving treatment for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell disease. Our drivers are instrumental in facilitating these critical deliveries. Responsibilities: * Transport blood or blood products using a Red Cross vehicle from blood distribution in the Stockton center to local hospitals. * Pick up and return boxes as needed. * Complete required paperwork and obtain signatures. * Drive in a safe and responsible manner.
