Description
Hope for the Rural Child Foundation (HRCF) is a registered not-for profit Community Based Organization working in Namasagali Sub-county in Kamuli District in Uganda. It was founded in 2018 by five compassionate teachers who had for a long time felt concerned over the plight of non-school going children and youth in Namasagali sub-county.
Hope for the Rural Child Foundation focuses on the education of orphans and other disadvantaged Children. We support some of the most needy orphans and other disadvantaged children by sponsoring their education, provision of basic health care and life skills. We also support development initiates especially by local women in the communities where these children live.
Since 2018 we have caused a significant difference in the lives of the children we support. Namasagali sub-county is one of the areas with the highest school dropout rates in the Busoga region. However since 2018 we are reversing the trend. Since 2018 125 children who had dropped out of secondary school have been enrolled at Namasagali Intergrated Secondary School. In 2023 our sponsored child orphan Ikoba Jude whom we got in one of the villages laying bricks to earn a living and put him back in school emerged one of the best candidates in Kamuli district in the 2022 Uganda Certificate of Education Examinations.
