Mission Statement
HMI is a nonprofit organization that promotes community building in order to support refugee populations. We aim to be resourceful and effective in transforming refugees’ lives, changing public attitudes for the better, and connecting diverse populations within the same community.
Description
Connect target groups to the resources they need to improve their lives in the new community
Establish the mentoring relationships between community members and the target groups
Lead local and national campaigns to increase public awareness around refugees, resettlement, and legislation
Develop partnerships with education institutions and organize volunteer opportunities
