This volunteer position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your skills and contribute to making a significant impact on individuals' lives. Responsibilities: Ensure secure compliance with all statutory, legal, and policy requirements arising from the organization’s activities. Ensure senior board members are appraised of legal issues, including new legislation. Work closely with members of the Board and subordinates to help the organization and stakeholders focus on minimizing and managing strategic and operational risks. Structure, draft, negotiate, and review complex agreements, identifying legal and business risks as well as recommending solutions. Qualifications: A Law degree (LLB or JD) along with a valid license to practice law. In-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and legal frameworks such as human rights, environmental law, social justice, etc. Experience in providing legal advice, drafting legal documents such as contracts, policies, agreements. Ability to lead and manage a legal team with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities: Develop and implement quality assurance (QA) standards and best practices for our mentorship processes and program delivery. Monitor mentorship sessions and program activities to ensure alignment with Empowered Futures’ goals and mentoring objectives. Evaluate the effectiveness of mentorship initiatives through feedback collection, impact analysis, and measurable KPIs. Conduct end-to-end testing of the mentorship platform, including user functionality, technical performance, and user experience (UX), ensuring timely resolution in collaboration with the IT and platform development teams. Develop monitoring tools to track mentor-mentee interactions and evaluate their quality, impact, and compliance with organizational policies. Collaborate with the mentorship team to design and deliver training for mentors on effective mentoring techniques and compliance standards. Provide ongoing training and resources for mentees on best practices for utilizing the mentorship platform and engaging in mentorship programs. Act as a liaison between mentors, mentees, platform users, and internal teams to address quality-related concerns or issues. Gather and document user feedback for continuous improvement of mentorship activities and digital tools. Prepare detailed reports on QA findings, mentorship impact assessments, and platform performance metrics for management review. Maintain thorough records of program quality checks, issue resolutions, and implemented improvements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Project Management, Education, Social Work, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2-3 years of experience in quality assurance, program evaluation, or project management, preferably with a mentorship-focused organization. Familiarity with mentorship programs or mentorship platforms is highly advantageous. Excellent analytical skills and attention to details to accurately monitor systems and examine large volumes of data Computer literacy skills in Google Workspace and database softwares Expertise in mapping mentorship workflows using tools like Lucidchart or Microsoft Visio. Proficiency with visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI for monitoring program metrics. Experience with LMS tools to deliver training resources and track mentor-mentee progress. Experience in workflow and process optimization. Experience with quality frameworks (Six Sigma, Lean, Agile) to optimize processes.
