Mission Statement

A national movement to shift the moral narrative and address the root causes of poverty, racism, injustice and environmental destruction.

Description

The Poor People's Campaign is a grassroots movement that seeks to build a broad and diverse coalition of people who are impacted by poverty, racism, environmental degradation, and other forms of systemic inequality. The campaign's mission is to challenge the interlocking injustices of poverty, racism, militarism, and ecological devastation by building a moral fusion movement that draws on the diverse traditions of our communities.

The campaign aims to address the root causes of poverty and inequality, rather than just treating the symptoms. This includes advocating for policies that provide access to healthcare, housing, education, and a living wage for all, as well as working to dismantle systems of racism and oppression.

Overall, the Poor People's Campaign is committed to building a moral and just society that values the inherent worth and dignity of all people, regardless of their socioeconomic status, race, or background.
