Mission Statement

Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome those Rhodesian Ridgebacks in need. We feel strongly that all dogs need a safe, loving and healthy environment. We strive to help the dogs as well as educate the general public about pet responsibility and care.

Description

In 1990, Elizabeth Akers found that Rhodesian Ridgeback dogs were ending up in shelters. She began a rescue group and has to date taken in over 3000 pure bred and mixed breed Ridgebacks. Her goal was to help find homes for the unwanted and forgotten dogs as well as to help educate the general public about pet responsibility and care.
