Mission Statement
The Tosa Community Food Pantry, Inc. primary purposes are to: 1. Collect, warehouse and distribute salvageable food to feed the food insecure in and around the Wauwatosa, Wisconsin area. 2. Collect, warehouse and distribute salvageable food to other social agencies which feed the food insecure in the Milwaukee area. The first is accomplished as a member of the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee Pantry Network. As such, the Pantry is charged to serve zip codes: 53213, 53222. 53225 and 53226. In addition, the Pantry serves emergency referrals from the IMPACT Help Line, 211. The second is accomplished by sharing surplus items with other members of the Hunger Task Force of Milwaukee Pantry Network and other charitable organizations in the Milwaukee area that help to feed those in need.
Description
The Tosa Community Food Pantry has been open since 1983, collecting and distributing food to low-income individuals and families in the Wauwatosa area on an emergency need basis. We do not discriminate as to income, sex, race or ethnic origin, and strive to provide our clients with healthy food choices throughout the year, including fresh produce during the growing season.
