Mission Statement
The mission of Young at Heart Resources is to promote systems that maintain and enhance the quality of life for older adults in the home environment of their choice. This is done by listening to the needs, identifying and coordinating resources, planning, developing and implementing programs, services and systems for older adults and their caregivers. Young at Heart Resources strives to ensure effective, efficient use of resources and supports individual choice and informed decision making.
Description
Young at Heart Resources is a not-for-profit planning and service organization whose home office is in Albany, MO with a field office in Cameron, MO. We were founded as the Northwest Missouri Area Agency on Aging in 1973 and adhere to the Older Americans Act. Our client base includes today's seniors, who are often active and vibrant, along with their partners and caregivers, as well as individuals with disabilities. Our 18-county service area includes Andrew, Atchison, Caldwell, Clinton, Daviess, DeKalb, Gentry, Grundy, Harrison, Holt, Linn, Livingston, Mercer, Nodaway, Putnam, Sullivan, and Worth counties. We are recognized as one of ten state area agencies. We are funded by federal, state and local resources, as well as local contributions.
